Our Community Champions are the heart of Better Together.
Who are Community Champions, and what do they do?
Our Community Champions are…
Alumni of an existing theater program at a DC public or public charter school OR previous participants in Better Together workshops
Experts in community-building
‘Superconnectors’ who can shift the culture of any room they enter
Our Community Champions get paid to do the following:
Facilitate Better Together improv workshops in schools
Run Teacher Professional Development sessions
Work with schools on building full-scale theater programs.

Building After School Theater Programs
We support publicly funded schools in building after school theater programs with materials, resources, & creative support.
